I bought a Winchester mini multi tools and have not really used because it is very difficult to open?

Hi, Does anyone know if there is a way a tool to open multiple easier? I bought a Winchester mini multi tools (wooden handle) and it is so difficult to open. I really have not used it for that reason, Bummer! It is a small and cute, and think it would be useful if you could open it without using a coin or something thus. Lubrication is an option? Unfortunately, because these knives Winchester / tools are built cheaper. Lubrication is an option, use something like a silicone spray or WD-40, but use just a little. Too much oil will attract dirt and dust, and only make it more difficult to open later. The other option is to see if there is an adjustment bolt right in the interface of the tools and palettes.
