Black Widow?
I found a black widow in my backyard, any ideas on how to kill it besides drowning it in water? ( tried that and it still wouldnt die after 3 hrs) and trying to squish it. Im too afraid. ;]
I dont have bug spray and i dont have time to buy it to the fact that i am young, i have dogs in the backyard and i dont the spider to bite my precious doggies
I wouldn’t worry about it, shes not going to seek and destroy you. Just stay away from the area, and telling kids not to touch it.
Also, there are many spiders that look very close to black widows that are not dangerous. For example, there are the “false widows” of the genus Steatoda, and the common house spiders of the genus Achaearanea.
Also, black widows, which are regarded as being responsible for the most human deaths among spiders, are far from “tag your dead”. They have a 5% death rate of reported cases, with many cases not requiring medical attention. Care should still be taken when you know one is around.
